
Prof Suzanne Pitama (Ngāti Kahungunu) University of Otago Christchurch, New Zealand

Suzanne is the Dean and the Head of Campus of the University of Otago, Christchurch and a registered psychologist. She has just finished an 8 year term as a Director on the Health Research Council of New Zealand Board, and currently serves as a Director on Te Tauraki (Ngāi Tahu’s IMPB). Suz has been involved in Māori health research and health professional education and research for over 20 years. Her work has included the development of the Hui Process and Meihana Model which supports Māori and non-Māori health professionals and researchers signpost cultural competency and safety within their mahi.
