
Melanie Poxton Townsville University Hospital North Queensland, Australia
Melanie Poxton is a Registered Nurse with more than thirty-five years of nursing experience. She has worked in clinical, management and educational roles in the UK and Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and post graduate qualifications in paediatrics, health service management, education and palliative care.
Melanie currently works for the Department of Health in Queensland in the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI) and is based at the Townsville University Hospital, North Queensland, Australia. Melanie is the Assistant Director of Nursing of the Queensland Regional Clinical Trials Coordinating Centre (QRCCC)
Along with her colleagues and the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) Council, Melanie was instrumental in the development and implementation of the world’s first tele-trial model.
