Dr Simon Wilkins is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery at Cabrini Hospital, Melbourne. Dr Wilkins obtained his PhD in the biology of malaria in the mosquito from the Imperial College, London, UK. Following his PhD, Dr Wilkins undertook post-doctoral positions in the areas of breast and prostate cancer as well as researching neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease). For the last nine years, Dr Wilkins has worked on colorectal cancer at Cabrini and has extensive translational and clinical research experience in colorectal cancer.
