
Dr Monica Tang St George Hospital Australia
Dr Monica Tang is a Medical Oncologist at St George Hospital and Staff Specialist in Cancer Survivorship at the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Prince of Wales Hospital. She has an interest in the use of routinely-collected data to study cancer treatments and outcomes in real-world patients, and to advance survivorship research. Dr Tang was awarded MBBS (Hons 1) from the University of New South Wales and trained in medical oncology at St George and Prince of Wales Hospitals, before undertaking a fellowship at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre. She completed a PhD at the Centre for Big Data Research in Health at the University of New South Wales, with the support of a NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship, a National Breast Cancer Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship and a Translational Cancer Research Network Clinical PhD Top-Up Scholarship. Her PhD examines how real-world data can be used to evaluate and optimise the utilisation of anti-cancer therapies in the Australian population.
