Dr. Janice L Pasieka FRCSC FACS is Clinical Professor of Surgery and Oncology at the University of Calgary. She did her Endocrine Surgical fellowship training at the University of Michigan and the Karolinska Institute. Dr. Pasieka has served as Secretary-Treasurer and as President of the AAES. She was recently awarded the prestigious ‘Oliver Cope Meritorious Achievement Award’ from the AAES, in recognition of her substantial contributions to the field of endocrine surgery. She is currently President-elect of the IAES. To date she has over 160 peer-review publications, is editor of three Endocrine Surgical textbooks and has written over 28 book chapters.
