Di Hughes, PhD is a Clinical Trial Coordinator at Bendigo Health Cancer Centre, which received the inaugural Regional, Rural and Remote Site Award during the 2022 AGITG ASM. Her work includes enthusiastically coordinating several collaborative AGITG trials, taking a strong interest in the science of clinical trials. Di also researches the experiences of rural cancer clinical trial participants to understand the consenting decision-making process and how people with cancer maintain their trial participation over time. It’s hoped this work will contribute to increased equity in clinical trial participation. Di also works and publishes as an anatomist in higher education.
