Dr Travers is a medical oncologist in the Lower GI stream at Peter Mac where he is also completing a laboratory based PhD in the Parish lab. Dr Travers’ research focuses on the role of CD8 T cell peripheral tolerance in colorectal cancer and how this may restrict the benefit of immunotherapy in this setting. He also seeks to define how to breach CD8 T cell peripheral tolerance, potentially leading to new immunotherapy treatments to better treat colorectal and other malignancies.
