Associate Professor Michael Jameson FRACP FRCP(Edin.) PhD is a Medical Oncologist at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, and Assistant Dean, Waikato Clinical Campus, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Auckland. He trained in medicine at the University of Auckland followed by clinical training in NZ and the UK, then trained in Medical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, and Auckland. He gained his PhD at the University of Auckland conducting a phase I trial of the Auckland Cancer Society’s Research Centre’s drug vadimezan, sponsored by Cancer Research UK. He has been a Medical Oncologist at Waikato Hospital since 2000, and continues investigator-initiated, collaborative group and industry-sponsored trials and translational research. His research interests include repurposing drugs in oncology.
